While this is what we expect for a world class player ,but here something unusual yet interesting thing happened when a crazy Dhoni fan came to touch his feet.
The incident happened when Mahendra Singh Dhoni and partner Hardik Pandya were chatting in between overs. The well-built spectator was initially hesitant to come on to the pitch. It was only after Dhoni insisted that the person jumped over the wicket to touch the double World Cup-winning skipper’s feet.
And Dhoni as always a gentleman obliged the fan and shook hands before the chasing security personnel arrived to escort him off the ground.
Well this incident show how much we all love Dhoni and more than love we respect him for what he is.
Well this is not the first time we have seen fans or cricketers giving respect to their ideals by touching their feet. So here are some epic moments like this.
The same was the moment when an emotional fan ran into the field to touch Sourav Ganguly’s feet during his comeback innings on April 10, 2011 in IPL. Deccan Chargers v Pune Warriors.
He is the god of cricket and there are many reasons to admire this great legend. During the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians on 09-05-2016 Yuvray Singh showed his respect for India’s biggest cricket icon by touching his feet.
This was the second occasion when Yuvraj showed this gesture for his idol, after doing it first during an exhibitition match at Lord’s in 2015.
Respecting and loving someone is nothing to do with cast or what country you belong, and this is what was proven right by Mashrafe Mortaza when he touched Yuvraj Singh’s feet before the match of Asia Cup Final.
