Parents play a very important role in your career and the same happened with Mrs. Pragati Jain. When she was in 8th standard her father took her to Mumbai and makes her visit some of the designing colleges because when she completed her studies Mumbai was the only place or hub of such art and we had nothing in M.P. related to designing. She even told us that when she look back and think why her father took her to those colleges when she was in 8th standard she can now realize that he was trying to build a dream in my mind so that I can go and pursue it.

When I thought of pursuing Interior designing course, we had nothing in Indore so I went to Mumbai and pursued Interior Designing from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. When I pursued this course years back people were not welcoming and looked Interior Designing with a very low look and being a girl it’s tough for us to convince parents for Interior designing but I was lucky my parents never stopped me doing this. When asked why she didn’t tried to open her business in Mumbai instead of coming back to Indore. She replied, “While studying in Mumbai I started working part time with my professor because in the back of my mind I knew that after completing the course I will go back to Indore. So I started gaining practical knowledge with my studies and that helped me a lot. I never thought of working in Mumbai so I came back to Indore after completing my education.

When I came back to Indore and started working with C.M. Pawar sir, he was the best designer in those days. I worked under him and gained a lot of knowledge and the best part working with him was he never stopped me from taking any work personally instead he encouraged me for that. When we talk about struggle, I never felt it around me, my father always say grow and work on right path you’ll get success. So followed it and now I’m here as you can see.  During my early times some people blindly trust on me and some want me to suggest them in designing. So I did all my possible things what I can do and build my career. It not like I never did any mistakes, even I did many mistakes and faced a lot of criticism but I always learnt from it and today just because of those mistakes I’m perfect in my work. I remember one incident from my early working when I designed the room and did one mistake that the door of two cupboards doesn’t open at the same time. That was a big mistake but today after 30 years I designed the house of their son and feel very overwhelmed that I achieved something today.

I did a lot of projects of different places; I never restricted myself for any particular place or region. I am open for every person even for a tea maker. Even if he wants me to design something I’ll do it for him because this is the only way to promote designing to every person. I did all projects from small to big without any restrictions. Even after marriage my in-laws were very supportive, I always say I left one father and got the other in my father in law. After marriage when I got outstation work I was worried but my father in law supported me and travel with me to those places where I had my projects.

I suggest people to do whatever they dream to do, never think that its not made for you and what others will say. People say many things but we know our zone and we should work well in that.

Born and bought up in Indore, she was blessed with a great family who never stopped her for anything she desired to pursue. As we all know family support is must for whatever you desire to do and that was a positive point for her. She even said in her interview with us that every family should allow their child to pursue their dreams and should become a bridge for them. She pursued fashion designing in those days when people in Indore were not familiar with it and doesn’t look fashion designing with respectful eyes. As there was not such institute in Indore so she went to Delhi and pursued her dream there from South Delhi Polytechnic for Women. After completing her studies she came back to Indore to open her own designing institute. When asked why didn’t you tried to work in Delhi as it’s a hub of fashion. She replied, “It’s not that I didn’t thought of it, I even got many opportunities there but home is home and nothing can replace it, so I came back to Indore.”

She is a woman of desires and creativity and has created her own world of designs around her. She said, “She loves playing with colours and my main love is colour scheme either it’s in fashion designing or other branches of designing.” When she came back to Indore she told her parents that she want to open her own institute in Indore and give the designing knowledge to the people of native place, but this was not easy she was surrounded by ‘n’ number of questions. Being a girl you have to think a lot on every part like when you’ll get married and shift to some other place what will happen to the institute and many more. But when your desires are strong no one can come in between and today her institute is going to complete 24 years.

When asked about the use of colours in fashion designing. She replied, “It depends on the costume we are designing and the body of the client. It’s not that easy but we have to fulfill their desires and even see the occasion of the costume.” So it depends on many different things and everything has to be seen to give the perfect output. Today fashion has changed a lot and people are welcoming different styles today, so it’s becoming more challenging for us to give the output they want from us. So now it’s good that people are getting use to fashion in Indore.

He is basically from Hoshangabad and came to Indore for studies. He had dreams to do something that can satisfy him internally and today he achieved what he is made for. It’s not like he got everything simply, he worked for everything he posses today. He was the student of School of Journalism and Mass Communication, DAVV Indore. He worked with an Indore based company for 3 years and then moves to Mumbai and worked there and then came back and opened his own venture and completed successful 5 years of his venture.

He never planned for it initially but it’s said you’ll get what is in your destiny and he got it. Today he designs for many companies, firms, ventures and designing requires a lot of practice with colours and you need to have a perfect knowledge of colour for ‘n’ number of uses and no doubt he is an expert in this. “When asked how you choose colours for every other work you get. He replied, “It depends on the need of the client, for what purpose they want us to design and even depends on the brand of base they have set for us. So it totally on the needs and purpose of the client and their demands.”

When asked about what you think about Indore as safe, clean and helping city. He replied, “Indore is very safe then other cities, talking about cleanliness then it’s in process and soon will be a perfect city and when it’s about Indore being a helping city then yes Indorians are very helpful and welcoming in nature.

Born and bought up in Indore he got to learn a lot of technical part of photography from his father who was the renowned photographer in those days. We have always heard that parents play a important role in child’s life and the same happened with me. I saw my father as a photographer and aimed to become the same. I’ m working as a photographer from last 18 years and did lots of projects in these years. Basically I studies BSE in CS but choose photography as a career and I’m so satisfied with it.

I run a studio Manoj Jain Photography which works on all projects and even we teach others the art of photography. Photography needs a detailed learning of colours from how to use it to where to use it. Usage of colour depends on the subject of photography, for example- if you are shooting for wedding then red colour should be a base, when we go for outdoor shooting then green colour is taken as a base and when it’s about sunset then for sure golden and yellow colour are the main. So it totally depends on the theme of photography.

Earlier we don’t have the option to enhance the photos after clicking but today we have all the options, we can even make the person look better up to 50% and that’s a good thing. Today people love candid pics instead of normal photography. Even clients are getting aware of different styles of photography and demand the same from us, due to which work has become challenging and truly speaking challenging work, is more interesting than the normal regular work.

When we talk about Indore as a safe city then I personally feel Indore is very safe and crimes are under control. If it’s about cleanliness then we are improving a lot in that and Indore being a helping city then people of Indore are very helpful and always try to help others.

Born and bought up in Indore I had a keen interest in painting so choose it as my career and did a lot of work in it. Painting is an art of colours so we need to be so perfect in it that should show all the emotions, features as if its live in front of us. Colour are two types warm and cold when we had to show the effect of some object that is cold so we had to use the cold colours and the same happens with warm. Even we had to see that the size of objects should we so well drawn that is should give a live effect to the viewers.

Even today I’m like a child when it comes to painting because your hobbies and interest always make you a child. I’m in this profession from last 30 years and it gives me immense pleasure. Even today I get to deal with students who are very interested in art of painting. today one stroke painting is very famous and even I love to do this. I’m rewarded with lots of awards. Earlier I was in commercial painting because that was the time of earning but today I’m again in fine arts because I have a lot of saving now to live and now I want to educate people about fine arts and want them to come near to their ancient culture. Today children go through a lot of family and school pressure but art can give you stability and calmness to deal with such pressure. So I’m serving this to the society to spread happiness through art.
