Ronaldo Reveals Why He and Messi “aren’t Good Friends”
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have one of the biggest revelry in the sports world. Both have faced each other number of times. Though ronaldo is one of the biggest start of the sports but still the Real Madrid star has lived much of his career in direct comparison to the Argentinean playmaker.
Much of this comes down to the obvious rivalry between Madrid and Barcelona, but Ronaldo and Messi have also gone toe-to-toe for league and cup titles over the years as well as individual prizes like the Pichichi, Golden Boot and Ballon d’Or.
So what kind of friend ship they have. Well here is what Rolando thinks.
Friendship with Messi
In a fresh interview with Coach Magazine Rolando opened about his life and on field action. When he was asked about the player he admired most. He said “We aren’t good friends, but there is respect on parts,” “The media talk about a great rivalry, but we don’t have one.”
Admiring Sir Alex Ferguson
The Real Madrid star also revealed his admiration for former Manchester United manager Sir Alex . “I do see Sir Alex Ferguson as a father figure,”
“All my coaches have been important, but when I arrived at Real Madrid I was a man, when I arrived at Manchester United I was a boy. All of a sudden you are at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and at that time I needed somebody like Sir Alex.”
Ashley Cole A Tough Job
When asked about who is the toughest opponent he has ever faced. This is what he said. “Over the years I had some great battles with Ashley Cole, he does not give you a second to breathe.”He was such a tenacious player when he was at his peak, quick, tough in the tackle. You knew it would never be an easy game.”
