The famous cricketer, Suresh Raina was traveling from Ghaziabad to Kanpur when the rear tyre of the Range Rover burst near Etawah at 2 AM in the morning, he was on the wheels when the accident happened.

He was traveling to the Kanpur to take part in one of the matches in the tournament, which is on Wednesday at the green park stadium. Police said, “if the car had been traveling at high speed, the consequences could have been disastrous”. The DSP Rajesh Kumar Singh said “that Raina was on the wheels when the accident took place, there was no injury to him.

Police arranged for another vehicle to enable Raina to complete the journey.

After the incident, he was trying to get help as he did not have a spare tyre with him in the SUV, after some time the locals informed the police and he was sent from another vehicle.

Since a while Raina has not played any ODI and was not selected for the series against Australia beginning September 17, the team India is going under a new test system named as YO-YO endurance test, it is also the advancement of the previous test system. All the team members are required to score at least 19.5 and upwards, but Raina had scored below 19.5, which can be said as the biggest reason of why he is not on the team.
