Amazon CEO Has Become The World’s Second Richest Person
The founder of American e-commerce company Amazon and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos is now the second richest man in the world. According to Bloomberg, his company Amazon has beaten Amancio Ortega and Warren Buffet and now he is become the second richest person in the world behind Bill gates.
Jeff Bezos added $1.5 billion to his fortune Amazon.com after the company gained $9 billion in market value during the trading on Wednesday, the day after the company announced its plans to buy the Middle East’s largest online retailer Souq.com.
According to Bloomberg, “Bezos has a net worth of $75.6 billion on the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, $700 million more than Berkshire Hathaway Inc’s Buffet and $1.3 billion above Ortega, the founder of Inditex SA and Europe’s richest person.”
The company received a generous stock bump after a Barclay’s (AGRPY) analyst declared Amazon will “likely to be one of the first trillion-dollar market cap companies.” Bill gates is still the first richest person in the world with a net-worth of $86 billion.
Bezos also added $10.2 billion to his wealth, this year and now he is the third richest on Forbes’ list of the world billionaires with a wealth of $75.2 billion after Chinese billionaire Wang Wei’s with $18.4 billion and $11.4 billion rise for Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zukerberg.
