Thousands of people are planning to visit the White House this January as the President’s last day in office to say him “Thanks Obama” and more than 18, 000 people have signed up to an event on Facebook to stand in front of the White House on January 19th to just say the honorable President only to say “Thanks Obama” and it is respected gesture of a lot of people to visit White House more than 50,000 people have registered as “ interested “ in the event.
The event, organized by Bejide Davis and Amanda Washington Lockett states, “Who wants to come with me to DC in January and stand at the White House gate and just clap for the President on his last day of work? This is a way we can truly and sincerely say, ‘Thanks, Obama.’”

Businesses, according to the president, have “added 13.7 million new jobs over a 69-month streak of job growth.” Mr. Obama also cited the latest unemployment rate figures — in October, it fell to 5 percent and has remained at that level since — as proof of a strong economy.

Over the past week, the president has urged Americans to stay united in the face of terror threats, after the recent shooting in San Bernardino left the nation wary of future strikes. “Even as we continue to grieve over the attack in San Bernardino, we’re leading a global coalition and hitting ISIL harder than ever,” Mr. Obama said, using a different acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS. “In Syria and Iraq, ISIL is losing territory, and we’re not going to stop until we destroy this terrorist organization.”
