Terrorist Killed In Lucknow After 12 Hours Operation

The suspected terrorist who was planning a major terror attack in Uttar Pradesh was killed Wednesday early morning after 12 hours of anti terrorism operation in Lucknow. Saifullah, the terrorist was part of a group planning major attacks in Uttar Pradesh, sources have said.
The operation began at 3.30 pm on Tuesday by special anti terrorism commandos. The target of operation was a house in Haji Ali colony, Thakurganj. It was around 3 am when the commandos enter the house and found Saifullah, the terrorist dead along with weapons and ISIS flag.
“After opening the doors of the house (where the terrorist was holed up), the force went inside and found the suspect dead along with weapons”, Additional Director General of Police( Law and order) Daljit Chaudhary said. Chaudhary said that the operation “stands close now. Rest of the legel formalities will subsequiently take place”.
According to police, Saifullah was a member of ISIS. Around 9 other people were part of his group in which five have been arrested and one is dead. The terrorist group is suspected to be involved in Ujjain- Bhopal train blast in Madhya Pradesh yesterday in which 10 people were injured.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh declared a terror alert in the whole country around 10 pm on Tuesday. After the operation of anti-terrorism, Arun said, “Efforts were made to catch the suspected terrorist (identified as Saifullah) alive, but unfortunately this did not materialize. We fired tear gas, shells and chilly bombs; so that he comes out. But he did not come out.”
