About the youngest and new chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh
There is some brief note about the youngest and new chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, following the footsteps of his father Dorjee Khandu , Pema has work hard for the achievement of chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh and he is the youngest who grabbed this position at the only age of 37.
Pema had taken up governance in 2011, after his father and former chief minister Dorjee Khandu died in a chopper crash near Luguthang in Tawang district. And in five years, he has emerged as the chief ministerial prospect after Supreme Court’s intervention that changed the course of politics in the state with dissidents returning to Congress.
Pema is a graduate of Delhi University’s prestigious Hindu College. In 2011, he took over the assembly seat that was vacant due to his father’s death. He also became the cabinet minister for Rural Works Department (RWD) and Tourism since November 21, 2011 in Nabam Tuki government and thereafter served the state as cabinet minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Art & Culture.
Pema, had joined the Congress in early 2000 and became Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee in 2005 and president of the Tawang District Congress Committee in 2010.
